SpeechCode is an innovative information technology that makes any text audible to support information access for people with visual impairments.

Via the online Speech Generator the texts can easily be turned into coloured, printable data codes, which hold the entire content (up to 40 minutes of speech) in a very small space.The codes are scanned with the free Speech Code App in Universal Design, decoded and immediately present the information - without Internet access or download - as text on the smartphone display and in audible format via text-to-speech technology (40+ languages available).

As an alternative to the printed code NFC tags can be used, providing even easier and faster data transmission.

Single tap links to telefone numbers can be included in the Speech Codes to provide fast and easy connection to the respective contacts.All scanned codes are automatically saved in the app for information availability at a later stage.

The patented ScanGuidance module provides verbal and/or tonal instructions that enables blind and visually impaired people to find and scan the Speech Code without help from others. Users can choose contrasts, font size and speed of speech output.
