Mobile emergency call service - White Cross
The mobile emergency call system, also called combined emergency call system, combines the classic home emergency call service with the functionalities of a mobile emergency call and localisation system.
For whom is the mobile emergency call system suitable?
The mobile emergency call system is suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. While the home emergency system only covers a person's home, the signals of the mobile emergency system can reach the White Cross emergency centre from anywhere. The mobile emergency call system can be attractive for all those who like to be on the move and want to feel safe outside their own four walls.
Technical requirements
- Available power outlet in the house: This is where the base station is located where the GSM mobile unit must be charged regularly.
- Available GSM mobile network coverage: The GSM mobile unit automatically connects to the mobile network.
- Available GPS connection for localisation by satellite positioning outdoors.
Installation
An employee of the White Cross will install the mobile emergency call device and explain you how to use the system. Together with the employee, you will carry out a test alarm to become familiar with the home emergency call system.
Costs
- One-time connection fee: this is not charged for White Cross members.
- Monthly fee: this includes all emergency call services of the White Cross.
Payments can be executed using the SEPA Direct Debit.
Financial contributions
You can apply for a financial contribution at your local social welfare office. Contributions will only be paid once the application has been submitted and approved. Invoices issued before approval are not considered.
