The intention is to give the resident, as well as the relatives and carers, security:

- the resident knows that help will come in an emergency without having to do anything for it.

- the relatives / caregivers know that everything is fine and that they will be alerted immediately in case of an emergency.

The following functions are implemented:

- Fall control: Presence and unusual situations such as falls can be detected with the help of presence detectors and door contacts. With the presence detectors in the rooms, the position of the person can be find out and in connection with the door contact it can be recognize whether the apartment is occupied. If the person is in his home, the fall control is activated. Whenever the person is longer than ordinary in a room, the system raises automatically an alarm.

- Good morning check: Does the resident not get out of bed as usual in the morning? The system reports it to the relatives.

- Emergency call button: In an emergency, it must be possible to make an emergency call as easily as possible. Emergency calls can be sent to relatives or emergency services at any time using an emergency call button on the wall or on the wristband.

- Intercom at any time: Relatives can speak to the resident at any time. The resident doesn’t must do anything for it, not even answer the call. So the relatives can ask how the person is feeling in a very uncomplicated way.

- Reminders: A voice message can be played every day at a predefined time to remind the resident to take medications regularly.

- Access for rescue services: In case of emergency, quick access can be guaranteed by automatically opening of the entry door.

- Recognizing changes: The system recognizes atypical behavior and informs relatives or carers about it.

- Prevention of danger: Risky household appliances in the electric circuit are controlled and, if necessary, automatically deactivated if, for example, the cooking plate was forgotten to be switched off or the house was left.

- Night light function: To prevent falls, a night light switches on when the person leaves the bed at night to illuminate the way to the toilet and back.

- All-round protection: Smoke detectors, presence detectors and water detectors keep an eye on the building. In case of a break-in, a fire or a water leakage, the system raises alarm and relatives are informed immediately.

- Locked out?: Relatives can open the door remotely or give access codes for neighbors, emergency services or others.

- Long absences: Unusually long absences are reported to relatives or carers.

- Automatic lighting: In order to save energy costs and ensure security, the light is switched on automatically when there is movement and switched off when nobody is there.

- Healthy air quality: Measuring and controlling humidity and CO2 improves air quality and reduces the risk of contracting diseases such as COVID-19

- Feel-good temperature: The desired temperature can be predefined for each room at any time. For example, the bathroom is heated early in the morning and in the evening.
